What do you think of schools enforcing uniforms?

I would love this, it would make my life easier.

Answer #1

I think all kids should have uniforms and buzz cuts for school, I would love this.

Answer #2

As a student in a private high school i have to wear a uniform. I think its great cuz i don’t have to worry about what i wear everyday and i don’t have to buy lots of clothes. The buzz cut i disagree with. If you want it to be a military school then great, but since all students wear uniforms their hair and shoes are really the only ways to express themselves. so at least give them that or make it a military school.

Answer #3

also it makes a campus safe because the staff can identify which students are theirs and which people do not belong to the school.

Answer #4

Perfect way to save money on clothes!!! Children who do not wear uniforms are usually teased for their clothes and uniforms can end that.

Answer #5

In Trinidad, almost ALL schools , from kindergarten(2 1/2-5 yrs), primary (5-11yrs) and secondary (11-17/18) have uniforms. It is mandatory, Only @ University were we allowed to be outta uniforms. It is so ironic, that growing up here, my friends and I used to wish we did not have to wear those uniforms. But it taught us a lot, pride for the school we attend etc. although some people were not so proud..lol. discipline, bacause if adults see u anywhere in uniform they can identify the school and call the Principal to complain..etc

Answer #6

I loved it when I was in the military, I always knew what I was going to wear, and what I was going to do with my hair. Saves a lot of time. My oldest son I think he thinks there is endless funds for his cloths budget.

Answer #7

School bags and shoes is another thing i thing the school can make a uniform.

Answer #8

It’s easier as a parent when they wear uniforms (for me at least) than not…but, I don’t see any other real benefits than that personally. The public school here in Miami has them, the private school in maldives did, too, but the public school in California did not.

Answer #9

i go to a school that has a dress code. within the years it gets less strict. like in lower school, its khakis and specific colored polos, but by the time your a senior you cant wear jeans and t shirts. personally, i think it is stupid. as long as you’re not wearing something inappropriate, why cant i wear a tshirt and jeans? i guess its how they want people to see your school. like prim and proper. but honestly, if the jeans arent ripped or of trashy design, then why not wear them? also there is the whole conflict of “uniform doesnt let me express myself”
