Answer #7

I have no idea, I personally dont listen to the radio of watch MTV or anything of the sort. I used to go to Music Millennium and look through cd’s and go listen to ones that seemed interesting and just branched from there :) I love underground music most dont know about.

Answer #8

i thinkthats how it should be and i’m sure it would help open peoples mind trusting what they like rather than whats on the radio or popular at the time

Answer #9

I think so. I havent listened to mainstream music since discovering indie music when I was about fifteen

Answer #10

great question man… hey im only 35, but there was a time that i cant remember… and everything was spread by word of mouth… so to be up on tunes you had to be going out alot and or hanging out with a large group of friends to get an idea what sound was going on. fm radio was your guide to other kinds and genres of music, lucky for me i hung out at a record store at an early age and had some help from my parents to start my ear off right.. so dont wanna start a when i was a kid thing, cause im still a kid kinda in so many ways.. i think that people would have adopted to a lesser technology or perhaps a different one. but yes overall without radio, sound as we know it would not exist..

Answer #11

oo, also lots of bands were developed over their members not having access to these things.. essentially what im saying is some type of music would exist without these things regardless.. but no not as we know it.

Answer #12

i love going through my dads cds and finding gold!!!!! i hate main stream music!!

Answer #13

yay, me too! Its terrible!

Answer #14

wooo virtual hi five!!!

Answer #15

I think so because a lot of people dont even know what they are really into because all they hear is the most popular music. Nobody can just find out what they like and not what everyone else likes. :)

Answer #16

I think they’d simply have less access and thus less of a choice. Who would be making all this music that people would be finding?

Answer #17

idk never watched MTV (only channel I had as a kid was NBC news :P ) and now if I do listen to the radio its a classic rock station, so rock from the 70’s and 80’s mostly or I listen to one of my stations on pandora. Just about anything that is considered “mainstream” doesn’t appeal to me.
