How do people say Amen?

I’m not much of a religion person, but some people say it like aye-men and some people say it like ah-men. Which one is it? Or is it kind of a thing that can be said both ways, depending on how you look at things.

When I say it in spanish I say it “Ahh-men.” and in english I say it “Uh-men” or “Aye-men.”

I don’t say it.

Answer #11

Haha, neither do I :) that stuff always confuses me.

Answer #12

But, it can be said either way. It just depends on your accent. Just like some people say “car-mal”, and some people say “car-a-mel”…neither is wrong.

Answer #13

oh :O lool

Answer #14

i dont say it either :P

Answer #15

We stand up and shout the entire “Thou art in heaven, hallow be thy name.” speech and then say Amen!!! jk, that would be horrible.

Answer #16

The only two words transliterated into any language are Amen, and Allelluya, both coming from hebrew and with a profound significance or meaning.

Answer #17

What it does matter is to agree to the meaning of it, doesn’t it?

Answer #18

Either way, more important is do you mean it?
