why do people abuse children/animals/girlfriends?

Every case if different and theres alot of diifferent reasons why a person may be abusive. For example, a bad childhood where their repeating the abuse they saw as a child, mental illness and phycological disorders, anger issues, and so on. In any case the person needs treatment, it never okay to abuse a person or animal and there is always some deeper rooted issue there.

Deeper rooted issue as in being abused as a child, sexual abuse, being verbally abused in the past, or seeing any of these when growing up. History as a tendancy to repeat itself.

When it comes to domestic violence, there’s generally 3 different types of abuse. Situational abuse is the most common, it happens when an argument escalates causing one or both partners to react physically. But then you’ve also got those who need to control their partners. Dependent intimate terro.rists need to hold on to their partners, they become jealous when their partners interact or pay attention to others. Antisocial terr.orists basically just want things their own way. They use violence to control and manipulate. Child abuse is again something different. Most often it stems from poor anger control impulses and poor parenting skills. Sometimes you’ve got a need for control, and abuse is used to control. Sometimes you’ve got people who are sadistic and enjoy inflicting pain. So they’ll pick the weakest targets possible (children and animals) and abuse them. This doesnt even get into sexual abuse. That’s a whole other story.

I know that sadly this is often the case, but surely if someone had to go through all that, they wouldn’t like it, and it would hurt them emotionally a lot. So why would they inflict that on someone else? I just don’t understand. :/

They were wronged in some way and is prosess it they are probly to emotionally retarded to get over abuse, a lot of people get abused but that does not mean that they will abuse others.
