I have to agree, because you are underage, they will definitely try to use you...find out what the minimum wage is in your state... i just read this online
Raise a glass today in honour of the hard-working souls who flip burgers, serve double-doubles and clean hotel rooms. In Ontario, they just got a decent raise: the minimum wage goes up 75 cents, to $10.25 an hour. That makes Ontario's minimum the highest in Canada -- and today marks the first time the bottom rung of our labour market passes that $10 threshold. right here is the rest of the article...http://funadvice.com/r/3ka7m6koti
hope this helped!
I wouldnt know hun, I am not from Canada, I was born & raised in NYC...just looked it up online for ya...I know in NY it's $6.90 an hour I think...might have gone up a little but that is min wage for regular retail sales girls! Right now where I am located, at my parent's abroad...it's even less an hour... about $5.50...then they wonder why people want to leave & make a better life for themselves outside their country!
Seeing as you're only 15 and your level of expertise is minimal at best, you should never request more than minimum wage....and doesn't hurt to state it that way, either. The employer wants to know what you think you're worth.
Minimum wage is what your going to get regardless of what you ask for. Jobs like that usually start off at the very bottom of the pay scale.
Yes, we do have a decent minimum wage, but for students it's only $9.60
Wow. 10.25 an hour...minimum wage where i live is only 7.50
Minimum wage is about all you can expect.
