Should I ask my orcherstra conductor to help me with a personal problem I'm having?

I m close with her

Answer #1

If you think she can be trusted and you cannot go to your parents, sure. Why not? We could better answer the question if you told us what the problem was. Actually, any extra info would help. You gave us nothing. Also (more criticism), this is not something anyone that doesn’t actually know you can give great advice on. There are some things for funadvice and there are some things where you actually have to think for yourself.

Answer #2

Depends on your relationship. I know growing up I was closer to my band director than any other teacher but I still didn’t share a lot of personal stuff with him. He gave me some life advice (not all good) but other than that we kept our relationship more professional and just tried to make the best music we could.
