Is it normal for a baby kitten to have its eyes open at 8 days old?

Actually that is pretty normal, it should be around ten day’s if longer then that is a little concerning but it sound’s fine and by what i was tought ten days is perfect so anything around that should be fine.

Ok cuz I have had puppies before and they never opened thr eyes till they were like 3 wks old, thought kittens may have been the same. Thx

i am a massive fan of mother nature… and also kitty mummys.. they know their stuff alot of the time, and baby eyes may be open, but the mum will still very much hold the reigns ;) relax and enjoy your kitty kins

Mine were open after 5. I’m dealing with having to clean the crust off, EVERYDAY. Can’t wait for them to clear up. They’re almost 5 weeks so hopefully there will be lack of eye crust/goo soon.
