My Parents Are Overprotective!

I need help with this, it’s getting ridiculous!

I just turned 20 and they think I can’t handle playing Grand Theft Auto 4 for Xbox 360!

I mean it’s not like I’m going to go out and steal a car! I’m not impressionable

But my mother thinks since I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome that I’m EXTREMELY Impressionable which is not true! And that she doesn’t want me buying the game (I’m renting it)

I’m getting very sick of her treating me like I’m a young impressionable child

Please help me!

My 15 year old has Asperger’s and if you are anything like her, you’ve got a good head on your shoulders.

Maybe you need to remind her that at this end of the autism specturm, you are highly intelligent and know right from wrong.

You’re a young adult and she has to loosen the reigns a bit…just because you have Asperger’s does not mean you are helpless.

… move out, its a game, if everyone copied games then everyone would be in jail get your mum to read the credits at the begginin of the game, try and tlk sense iinto her

talk to her about how her behavior is affecting you…if that doesn’t work play it when she’s not there or over a friends house… say yes I understand what you’re saying and tune her out… Some parents you just don’t reason with…there are people in the world like that and you have to be able to maneuver yourself to get what you want put of life …your mom’s just practice…don’t let her get to you
