Can hair stop growing?

I’m 16 and I’ve been growing my afro for like 8-9 months now and all I have is like 3 inches.. Its it possible my hair stopped growing? many people I know hair grows a lot faster than that, and I’m black BTW.

Is this normal?? Did my hair stop growing???

once your hair is a certain length, the rate of groth can derease but if it is still quite short, you shouldn’t worry… you are probably just expecting it to grow faster than it really will. GOOD LUCK! :)

listen yeh man im white, but I’ve got a few black mates, with or without fros. one of my mates wanted to grow his afro so he could get braids in it or somethin, but his hair took about 18 months to grow to the state it needed to be in. where as my other friend, his hair grows about 2 inches in 2/3 months! just proves were all diffrent at the end of the day man!! lol chill babe just be patient yeah :D xxx

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SMEAR HONEY AND CHEWING GUM IN YOUR HAIR, AND IT WILL GROW FINE. OH!! AND DRINK LOTS OF PICKLE JUICE. GOOD LUCK!

Hair grows at the rate of 1/2 inch a month. If your hair is tightly curled (as is yours) this growth will seem to be less.

my friend has incredible hair growth over summer he cut his hair in over summer it grew atleast 1/2 feet then it stopped though I was still amazed
