What can you do if you're moving and you're dog's buried in your yard?

Do you have to leave him, or should/can you dig him up and take him? I feel so uncomfortable leaving him here alone..

Answer #1

Maybe you should bury something of yours next to him, like a picture of you him, for examle. Good luck :)

Answer #2

it’s sad but definetely leave him there and remember that’s just his shell and not actually him. I’m sure you’ve got some good memories to keep with you.

Answer #3

What made him him will forever live in your heart, his body is now a part of the earth you need to just leave it there. Like I said what made him him is inside you, so no your not leaving him cause he’s always with you.

Answer #4

im really not trying to be a dikhead but, just leave him, he’s not going to be lonly is he?

Answer #5

I have to agree with most of the other posts on this, I think you should leave the dog behind. Don’t dig it up, that is kind of disrespectful to the dog in a way. :) What’s buried is his body, not exactly him. He is in your heart, and always will be. So, you will be taking him with you wherever you go. :)

Answer #6

I’m really anxious because I spend at least an hour a day out there just hanging out there with him. .lol Weird, I know..

Answer #7

I would leave the dog there. That place is the dog’s home and it is best that you leave your lovely pet to rest in peace. I understand how sad it will be to leave him. When you’re moving why don’t you plant a little tree or another plant and create a little place to remember your dog by. That way when you want to think about your dog you can have a place to go at your new house. Good luck sweetie.

Answer #8

His earthly body is in your back yard, but his spirit lives on and watches over you all of the time. He is no longer connected to that body, same as you will no longer be connected to your body when you die. It is our spirit that makes us who we are, our bodies are just an earthly manifestation, so that we can touch, taste, feel, see and hear. If you really want to, you could have his body dug up and cremated so that you can take him wherever you go. But I’d just leave it there. He no longer has any connection to it, but I can understand your worry.

Answer #9

Know that he’s NOT buried in the backyard, just the body he came in. I believe all dogs DO go to heaven and will obediently wait for us there, playing and having fun.
