Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

If I remember, you do have issues dealing with depression.

Give your mom a break. She is just trying to do what is in your best interest.

And don’t worry about the mental hospital. It’s not a bad or weird place as portrayed in the movies.

The people there are trained and well equipped to help you solve whatever problems may be confronting you.

If you are having problems with depression, it is better to deal with it now than to have to deal with it later in your life.

How you care for your body AND your mind, NOW, is going to determine your success and satisfaction with the rest of your life.

Trust your mom. She really is looking out for you.

They live, eat and breathe just like everywhere else. The only difference is that they are in a hospital where there are people trained to talk and work with them to see if they can help them solve any problems that they may have.

The only difference between a mental hospital and a regular hospital is that regular hospitals work with problems/injuries to the body whereas a mental hospital works with problems/injuries to the mind.

It isn’t anything you have to be afraid of or ashamed of. They are designed to help YOU be the real you.

I’ve been there afew times myself…I’m Bipolar1. Restraints are only used in extreme cases if you are a harm to yourself or someone else. Usually they try using medication first. Some mental hospitals are better than others but generaly they all work the same. There is a schedual and councling staff on hand at all times. If your child is so bad that you are considering this option then this is probibly the best place for him for the time being. Most of the time they keep them anywhere from 3-7 days depending on how quickly they can get them regulated on the medication. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know this is a very difficult and scary dissicion to make. I hope that this was helpful to you and anytime you need to talk I’m here for you.

Don’t be afraid of the hospital and what they “might” do. They are trained to do what is best for you. Their goal is to make you well.

Remember, it is against the law for them to intentionally harm you so anything they do is for your benefit and protection.

Your mom is charged by nature and by law to do what is best for you. She is looking out for your wellbeing both for now and for your future. YOU have trusted her so far in your young life, trust her some more.

It is a big beautiful world that is waiting for you. Hopefully you will be able to see that things are coming together to make sure that you have the best opportunities for enjoying it and being an active participant in it.

I think that you’re to have a doctor or a theripist tell you first that you’re child is suffering from metal issues, than I think it’s up to them if the child needs medical help or not! and they’re probably the ones to lead you to a reccomended hospital.

They would probably only put you in restraints if they thought you were in immediate danger of harming yourself or someone else. It would all depend on your attitude. It is possible that they could give you medication that would cause you to cease being a self injurer so restraints might not be needed.

Please, phones5, give them a chance to help you. The outcome of the whole rest of your life will be decided by what you do now.
