Is two days good?
It is going to depend on the job. In a perfect world you would have asked that question when submitting the application. Since you did not you can call the day after you submit it and say something like “hi, my names is Jane Doe. I submitted an application for the ________ position. Can you please tell me how long it will take for someone to review my application.” Best case the shows that you are motivated, polite and respectful. Worst case you come across as pushy and they may considered you for a sales position. It is a no lose move.

I think it depends on what type of job. If the job is through a Temporary agency you should call every other day so they will know your still looking & haven't found anything yet. If its at a factory or a big business where you can get hired straight through the door I would say a week. That gives them time to go through applications & decide.
Alright, thanks, I think Im going to call in a little bit anyway even though I filled it out saturday and it's only monday. Aha.
Rather than call, I suggest showing up in person and I agree a week or five buisseness days is about right.
A week is appropriate. Then give them a call back to let them know your still interested in the job.
That doesnt seem right, the job could be filled by then and probably will be. Thanks for nothing.
go in every other day or call so they know that you are interested in working where you applied.
a about a week
Good Luck =)
