Answer #8

Abs are always there. The muscles don’t deteriorate in the midsection. The visibility of abs is determined by the body fat percentage you’re at.

Generally, abs start to show around the 10-12% Body fat range. Here’s a absic outline will be visible of the heads. At 8-9%, visibility of 4 heads of the abs will show with slight visibility of serrates near the obliques when flexed. Anything under 7% and you’ve got pure visibility when relaxed and definition when flexed.

Supplements in the form of fat-burners are meant to dehydrate the body, causing the skin to tighten, thus giving you more “definition”. I don’t recommend you use them unless your diet is already in check for weight loss and fat loss, and only if you read the directions. Like I said, they dehydrate you, mainly due to the 1-3-7 Trimethylzanthene and ephedrine, caffeines that act as diuretics to dehydrate you.

Answer #9

tghanks this was helpful. But how do you know your “body fat range”?

Answer #10

You can get a BMI done to calculate Lean Body Mass and from that, you can see what percentage you are. Generally, I follow the mirror as my guide. If I see that I’m gaining too much weight too fast and it’s noticeable fat, I’ll cut my calories to lose some of the fat until I can get slight visibility. You can also use calipers to measure how much fat you have.
