I got my lip peirced about three months ago and it healed. About a week ago it started to hurt and it became very tender. Now around the ring on the outside there is a bump and it looks white kinda yellow. What is this?! And what can I do to make it go away, without taking my lip peircing out?

okay...does it look like there is pus inside of it? if so then I seriously think you need to take out the piercing. However, if not, then maybe you simply need to clean the area. warm water and soap should work. however, if in a couple of days there is no sign of improvement, then it is time to see a doctor to determine what to do. You might have to get the piercing taken out, I know that sucks, but sometimes that what you need to do. good luck sweetie.
You don't want to take your lip ring out or you could heal the infection inside. Try sea salt soaks and hot compresses. Also get some herbal camomile tea bags. Make tea like you usually would except don't add sugar or anythingand just put the tea bag on your piercing until it gets cold then dunk it in the tea and do it again for about 15 minutes a day. : ] Good luck.
