Leg pain?

So I’ve been going to the gym pretty consistently for about a month now, but stopped for the last 3 or 4 days because of a pretty bad cold… anyway I woke up 2 days ago and my leg’s were killing me so I figured I must have slept badly popped a tylenol and forgot all about it, woke up yesterday same thing… it kinda feels like growing pains which is freaking retarded considering I’m 20 years old… woke up this morning same thing… I don’t know what the heck this could be? is it normal aches and pains that come with a cold? or maybe I strained myself at the gym?…never happened before though. should I go get this checked out? or should I wait it out and see what happens??

thx for you help!

if its both legs, I feel that it might be because of you working out consistantly. Its your muscles ajusting and getting stronger. I once experienced something similar. I started a job to where you stand all day and my legs werent use to it and for at least 2 week they were killing me even when I would lay down. The feeling was horrible. But if its one leg, then maybe you did do something to it, cause excercise will affect both legs. I think too, if you can walk w/o hoping, limping, or plain out wanting to fall over, then I think your legs are ok. Now if you are experienceing one of those 3 above, then I think you should see a doctor. One more thing, I dont know if you ever tried Aleve but it works great for pain.

The times when I get a cold I usually get muscular pains as well. If it doesn’t ware off in a few days then you should think about making an appointment with your doctor.

Yes it is normal to get aches and pain when you have the flu, especially if you’ve excercised recently. I went running the other day and it has been almost a week now and my legs are still sore because I have the flu. (it is this dull type pain in my muscles-really irritating)
