Lady Lazerus

For those of you who have read this, how would you interpret it? I’m just curious??:) Thanks.

Answer #1

My apologies I thought you were referring to just the two words, which was tough to interpret.

This is the inner workings of a mind of someone who is mentally insane.

The actual piece flows quite nicely with a racing raging mind.

The author was a nut.

Answer #2

The title “Lady Lazarus” refers to “Lady”, implying her feminine side, and “Lazarus” which is a Biblical allusion to Lazarus

Answer #3

Lady Lazarus is a beautiful and transfixing piece. I’m assuming you’re talking about the poem by Sylvia Plath. It is mildly narrative, as it discusses her close brush with death, three times, the ‘resurrections’ she experienced, and her fascination with death. And yes, Sylvia Plath was a proper nutter. Her husband, on the other hand, was a brilliant author, and became the British Poet Laureate. You should check out his stuff.
