Kitty has a UTI

Just found out my kitty has a UTI. Does anyone know anything I can do to make her more comfortable? I feel bad because that has got to SUCK! If anyone has any ideas! Let me know!

The meds will kick in, probably within 24 hours, making her more comfortable…just be sure to get them ALL…don’t stop just because she feels better.

Yep. I have the meds and she is supposed to be on them for 2 weeks. I just didn’t know if there was anything else I can do to make her feel more comfortable.

I have suffered lots of UTI’s… believe me, kitty will feel much better after the antibiotics kick in. two days at the most. Make sure you give her the medication on time until it is gone, or it will come back.

Make sure you provide her with lots and lots of water and clean her litter regularly. It is important that kitty urinates as much as possible so the infection doesn’t spread to her kidneys.

No there reallly is nothing you can do other then give her the meds they sent home and keep a good eye on her to see if it is getting better or worse, Do not stop giving the meds if she is getting better, they should be finished. We had a client stop giving his dog meds because it was getting better, well he ended up back in the hospital and we had to start what we all ready did all over again. Keep up the good work and I am sure she will be fine.

Did the vet send you home with any meds for her?
