What is so much that they adults to pay for?

can someone make a budget or average monthly list of what adults have to pay for like mortagage, utilies, etc. My father takes things too, seroiusly. like “don’t stay in the shower too, long!”. What is so much that they have to pay for? is it that bad? how much money would my father need so he can have enough to pay the bills, and we can use everthing without a special limit, or where he can have more money to spend time with me?

dude that list has no end , 1.a house payment can range from $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 or more, and right know if you own your home, you just might be loosing money, ask your dad about that.

  1. water, trash, power, gas (heat) phone, thats another $250.00 to $350.00. 3.car payments plus gas for that thing right now is at an all time high add $300-500.00 4.credit card bills (thing you got you family for christmas) and other thing that you buy you cant pay cash for but want you family to have…ya thats about $200.00
  2. lets not forget food, lets say there is three people in the family tack on oh I dont know an easy $300.00 or more …I could go on, but I think that you get it, so your about 16 years old, it hard for you to understand I know. Help the man out, let him know if you could you would buy him a beer, shake his hand and thank him for all that he has done so far, better yet have his friends buy him a six pack and but it in the frig with a thank you note with your name on it, ( but dont go try and get it your self ) for real. and just think man , if you play you card right and help that man out, that there house might be yours one day, Anyway you look at it, your dad is your stepping stone in life, just make sure you dont mistake him as your door mate and wipe your feet all over him alright kid. You want him to respect and you should respect him, dont miss out on hangin out with your FATHER, unless he is a total @#$% up and a $%#$ to you, then you forget all that I said, but as you said you wanted him to spend time with you so I dont think he is,

AMEN to all. there are nedless financial responsibilities. If he is well off and money is not the issue, maybe he is like my dad. My dad grew up during the depression so he is extremely conservative. He saves old food, he throws nothing away! hes mister thrifty!!! Infact I remember back in the teen days when I was learning to drive. he taught me not to stop completely at the stop signs because it wears out the break pads on the car!! now how rediculous is that??? you wasting too much water in the shower is nothin’ compared to that! yes, my dad got after me for water usage and make sure to turn all the lights off when you leave a room etc… he is teaching things you will be annoyed with other people later, trust me. I find myself criticizing others and the way they drive, how much they spend on crap, and what not. they all say we become a product of our parents. yikes!!! Make it useful in your future. although you will be aggravated until you understand and have to pay your own finances. be a happy medium like me!! conserve in areas you find appropriete and splurge in others. until ou are on your own though, try to please your dad. I know, it sucks, be patient.

Let him know your ‘spending time’ concerns - talk with him or a note but let him know - it’s a saying but in some households it’s very true: ‘Sometimes we get sooo busy trying to make a living, we forget about making a life’…I wish you the best !!

running and paying a for a house is not as great as you think it will be. most or all of peoples wages tend to go on bills. it sucks, but it’s true.

no point me listing my bills on here, cause I’m in england.

Answer #5

It really depends on his job…:) I could give you my budget, but where I live, it’s 47% more expensive than the rest of the country, so it wouldn’t match up.

Also, maybe he’s trying to save the environment by asking you not to take such a long shower. If we gave you a budget, do you know how much money he makes? How much in taxes? What his retirement plan looks like? How much he’s saving for your college fund?
