Is it normal to get sore breasts after giving birth?

I gave birth last night in the kitchen to a beatiful baby girll lasted from 10 something pm till 3-45am this morning but now am getting sore breasts is this normal?

congrats on your baby! but I must ask one thing. you state that you are a trained doctor in eating disorders. I wonder why you need to ask such an elementary medical question. do you claim to have an m.d.? or a phd? just wondering about your training.

wow-congrats!! you should see and/or talk to your dr asap. the sore breasts thing is probably due to your milk production-my wife had that too. but ask your dr. he/she will know what’s up. good luck.

Yes it is just them stretching to fill up with milk. It will prob get worse before it gets better. Feed your baby often to relieve them.

its your milk in your breasts..

(1) if you are going to breastfeed you should start now (2) if you are not going to breastfeed your milk will have to dry out so it will be a slightly painful experience an uncomfortable

try putting cabbage leafs on them it should help wit them. I done it and it helped me

You are lucky if they are just sore…you should be in pain due to the milk.
