I'm in trouble, what should I do?

ok I was calling someone when I was done I dialed 911 as soon as I was done I hung up and the police came after he left my mom asked “Honest to god you didnt call the police on purpose?” I told her that I did now I know you think I was stupid for calling the police for no reason but I didnt really think about it. now I am grounded from the phone for a month and I do not know what to say to my dad im afraid. im a smart kid in school but I really do think im stupid :( its true. I do not know what to do. please help me. thank you

I know lying isn’t good but this happened to me once and I got really scared so I said that I meant to dial 411 to get a friends number but accidentally dialed 911, so if you’re truly scared of your dad just tell him that.

if you have to tell him , tell him “ dad , I’m really sorry I called the police on purpose , I promise I’ll never do it again “ and listen to what he has to say , and you’re not stupid :)
