Is it an illness not being socialized?

Answer #1

There is a such thing as antisocial personality disorder.

Answer #2

Actually, there is a condition in the DSM-IV Antisocial Personality Disorder or ASPD.

As far as simply not being “socialized” goes, that is not an illness. Someone who is not fully socialized might have trouble fitting into society but in itself is not an illness; it is someone lacking life skills. Someone unable to socialize due to a condition like ASPD, schizophrenia, autism, etc. would be considered to be ill.
