We are both cheating and I'm confused!

me and my boy have been together for 6 months and we’ve had a lot of problems.. mostly me wit him because people tell me shit about him like that he cheats on me and shit.. on sunday night I told him that one day I was very pissed off cause someone told me that he had sex with his ex and he told me that he never had…. so I told him that I kissed another guy just out of anger.. he got really upset and told me that he needed some time to think and that in the meantime for us to break up… I thought this wasnt fair because I’ve supported a lot of shit from him and for one thing that I messed up in he was so drastic.. I dont know what to do because he called me last night and asked if I wanted to go on with the relationship.. but he said that what I did hurt him a lot and that he was confused.. I of course said yes because I love him… what should I do?? I’m so confused

Sounds like he took the 1st opportunity to dump you, he sounded like an a$$ this whole time with rumours he was cheating so he felt to guilty leaving, but as soon as he heard you did something wrong he took the 1st opportunity to run! be careful this guy sounds like he is just messing with your heart.
