Answer #5

Hey Rocky93,

“…if you look for jesus in his tomb you wont find him becuse he left his tomb after 3 days…”

If you would look for Thor in his tomb, you will not find him either… what does that prove?

“…the old testiment has 48 predictions of jesus and his life all of them fullfilled…”

Many books predict events that are fulfilled later in the same book… that does not make the story real…

Answer #6

all hail satan

Answer #7

there are some different translatons of the bible but mostly different interpretations of it, the bible dosent contridict itself at all the bible like the ones in churches are right in what it says, I am a christian for many reasons but one is if you look at muhammads burial tomb you’ll find his bones, if you look at Gautama Buddha he’s still there if you look for jesus in his tomb you wont find him becuse he left his tomb after 3 days and 500 people saw him before he went to heaven, the old testiment has 48 predictions of jesus and his life all of them fullfilled, the chance that any man might have lived to fulfill all eight prophecies is one in 100 trillion. some of them cant be controlled by himself like were he was born or the time or manner of his death, while he was on the cross they stabbed him with a spear and water and blood came out and that too was predicted. if you find a bible at a church its probably a good version the diff versions are made to be easyer to understand by diff people and somtimes mistakes are made but usally not big ones, so dont worry much about that,

Answer #8

Answer #11

They’re not the only ones illiterate…

Frankly, this has plagued those who are religious even since the beginning of time. Always the issue of who’s right.

Well, frankly, you are right. Of course, you shouldn’t try to justify things that are flat out wrong, like murder and such, but for the most part, each one of us creates a code that we live by by the time we’re adults, and then we live by it, adding or modifying it as life’s experiences change us.

Like my personal code: don’t start physical fights(and try to not get involved in them), don’t murder, respect other’s beliefs, don’t get involved with drugs, alcohol, and other destructive substances, stay away from sexual activity(I have non-religious reasons as well as religious for this), and don’t judge others bassd on sex, religion, or race, only on actions towards me, my family, and associates. aLong with a list that would take hours to type, but this gets a lot of the big ones out.

Answer #12

Hey Jessicafled,

All religious people claim very strange things and yes, that can be confusing… You could deal with this by NOT thinking to much about religion and to just trust that those religious people are right about their claims.

But, by the looks of it, you are someone who chooses to think for yourself and investigate reality. Keep that up and you will figure it out.

Answer #13

the reason that everything seems to contradict themselves is because religious accounts are created and written down by man, not by divine mandate. personally I don’t believe in any type of god, but the best answer I’ve heard from people is that spiritually as long as you believe in something you should be fine. a “fair and just god” certainly isn’t going to shun you because you werent catholic and you instead ate red meat on fridays instead of not doing so. just believe whatever is comfortable and makes the most sense to you

Answer #14

oh and by the way since it wouldnt let me send this via “fun mail” I’ll post it here: sorry I didnt mean to send you a friend request, I’m new to this site and clicked on your picture and it sent it by accident

Answer #15

Does the following scenario really make any sense to you?

  • 3000 years ago, a god had a wrestling match with a dude named Abraham, and Abraham won. Because of that, this god found favor with Abraham and all his descendants. This god then went into hiding for 1000 years, appearing sporadically to help or punish these descendants.

  • Then 2000 years ago, he appeared again, but with a totally revamped personality. A bunch of fishermen followed him around and wrote down everything he said exactly as he said it for all time to follow

  • Then a bunch of translators and editors confounded it beyond all recognition…but trust us, the original really was inerrant! Also, since we don’t have it, trust us about what it said and meant.

You already know this is nonsense, you just don’t want to admit it because of the ramifications. But suppose you let yourself admit what you already know? Would life really be so bad if you were free from the superstitions of ancient herdsmen?

Answer #16

There’s no way of knowing. People can only interpret in a way that seems right to them. And there are NUMEROUS ways to interpret the Bible, which is partially why there has been over 30,000 different denominations of Christianity.

Like I said before, you’ll never know; you can only believe in what feels right to you.
