I would take the time to explore exactly what your beliefs are. figure out why you believe or why you are doubting.

I’ll wait… (just kidding, this is a long process of self reflection that can take years).

lots of people are going to try and sway you this way and that, reccommending you talk to preachers, or try and lean you toward the religion they believe is true.

this is more of a 1 person journey. take the time and reflect, and eventually you will find your religious identity.

Here is something that stop me from believing in God the way I used to. Why there is no evidence of true miracles? I was reading this on a website but can’t remember now. Most miracles can be explained by the laws of probability or Science. Lets say that a tornado comes and destroys your town but is spares your house, that is not a real miracle, because it could be explained by the laws of probability. Or lets say you are in a car accident and everybody dies and you do not, Most people will say “It was a miracle!!” that can also be explained by probability.

We simply pray and watch what happens. What we find is that nothing happens. No matter how many people pray, no matter how often they pray, no matter how sincerely they pray, no matter how worthy the prayer, nothing ever happens. If we pray for anything that is impossible – for example, regenerating an amputated limb or moving Mt. Everest to Newark, NJ – it never happens. We all know that. If we pray for anything that is possible, the results of the prayer will unfold in exact accord with the normal laws of probability. In every situation where we statistically analyze the effects of prayers, looking at both the success AND the failure of prayer, we find that prayer has zero effect. Prayers for amputees never work. Medical prayers never work. Prayers for “good people” never work. Battlefield prayers never work. That happens, always. Every time a Christian says, “The Lord answered my prayer,” what we are seeing instead is a simple coincidence or the natural effects of self-talk. Christians never discuss failed prayers, but if we look at all the prayers that fail as well as the prayers that work, a statistical analysis proves that God does not answer prayers. Most people hate or refuse to accept this, just like a child would refuse and get angry if somebody tells them Santa Claus is not real.

I would talk with some of the people who went to camp with you. They may have had the same thing happen to them so that might help you. I am a non-denominational preacher and I will answer any Q you ask me.

EVERYONE has different beliefs, and I’m not about to sit here and tell you mine while completely abolishing yours. First off, I am a christian as well, and I do believe in God, Heaven and Hell. It;s just peaceful to know that God is watching over me and every move I make, and one day, when I die, I won’t be dead, I’ll get to live to Heaven. And after hearing this story of what Heaven’s like, I’m not afraid to die anymore, because when I’m done on this Earth, there’s someone up there, with my ancestors, waiting for me.

A while ago, my mom told me this true story of a man that died, but was brought back to life. When he came back, he said he saw Heaven. Now why would anyone feel the need to make this up? If they did, why say it? So, basically I believe him. He said that there was this scent that he had never smelled on Earth, this scent that was so beautiful, he had never smelt in his life. He said it was a mixture of things that you wouldn’t think went together, that did. Chocolate, Vanilla, fresh flowers, and all the rest of the beautiful scents on our Earth. He also said that there was one huge arch covered with flowers so beautiful he had never seen anything like them. He also that a choir of angels singing could be heard, but not seen, from somewhere, and that the weather was a balmy, and warm shining sun, raining down upon you.

Now, I’m not some freaky christian who says, “if your not a christian you’ll go to hell!” No, I’m not like that. But I find peace in knowing that when we die, our identity isn’t gone FOREVER, and that we and our loved ones move on to a safer place where we can be happy once again.

=) Hope I helped!

It’s natural to be confused, because none of it makes any sense.

My guess is, you want it to be true, and so you’ve sort of emotionally grasped hold of it, but deep down you realize it’s nonsense. The result between the battle of your emotions and your intellect is confusion.

Let your intellect win, and your emotions will follow it, and you’ll be at peace. It doesn’t work the other way around.

Answer #6

fixmefever. if you are confused then you need to pray that God will give you the answers but you need to talk to your pastor of your church . Please dont think God is of confussion because he is not . Those that dont believe want you to think that and its not true . talking with your pastor or have your parents help you is what you need to do .

Answer #7

its ok to be confused about stuff, and the only way to find answers is to read the bible.you dont have to be a “christian” I suppose you say but you have to believe that jesus christ died and rose again for your sins to go to heaven. if you have questions ask me
