How do I get out of a reckless driving charge in VA?

Got pulled over doing 82 in a 65 in Hanover Va. any ideas or legal advice???

Answer #1

Here’s some legal advice: Don’t do that to begin with. That might be considered criminal speeding, in which case, you’re screwed. If the cop doesn’t show up to court (chances are slim at 82) then just plead not guilty.

Answer #2

accept responsibility for your actions youll get into a lot more trouble if you dont show up if you admit you did wrong your punnishment might not be as bad

Answer #3

Well, I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty positive that fifteen or more miles over the speed limit is a ‘must appear’ meaning you’re going to court there’s no way out of it.

You’re just going to have to show up on your court date, own up to your actions, and pay the fine you’re probably going to get. Unless you have a lengthly record of driving reckless. Then a lot worse things than having to pay a fine could go down.
