How can I control my eating habits?

I’m not on a diet or anything, but whenever I eat, I’m always forcing myself not to go for second’s. I’d be greatful if somebody told me how to get myseft to not overeat. And can it be something other than the “eat filling foods” trick? Because I go for more, no matter how full I am!

Oh girlfriend! I feel you! I am exactly the same way. You just need to control it and maybe change it around. There is this thing that you eat 5-6 smaller meals rather than 3 meals a day. And your body is so used to you having lots of food, that you just need to cut down. Hold out when you cut down that food your body will get used to that.

The 5-6 smaller meals, you eat Breakfast, mini-meal of HEALTH no junk food, LUNCH, minimeal, DINNER, minimeal. Those minimeals can include apples, celerey, maybe a small bowl of cereal, a small bowl of pasta, rice and whatever! You know? Just a plate of something healthy. To keep you satisfied until the next major meal. Another thing, how old are you? Girlfriend, I am older than 16 and I still eat like a racehorse. Want to know why? Because I NEED IT, my body has a huge craving because it isn’t finished growing! 12-19? Your body wants food, it wants vitamins and it will tell you to eat if it isn’t getting the proper nutrition. Eating seconds isn’t bad, just so long as it’s healthy. You can eat so much, as long as the food is healthy and good for you. And I’m not talking eating pizza slice after pizza slice (though that is totally okay once in a while, I do it.) So don’t deprive your body of food if it’s asking for it. And if you feel like the food you are eating or getting seconds of osn’t healthy, sibstitute for an apple or some fruit/veggies. And DON’T eat before bed, waterlog. That’s another thing. When you think you are hungry, wait a little bit, because some times you have an overactive thing in your brain…can’t think of the name, but if you wait the hunger goes away. Or simply drink water to fill yourself up. Heck, get those crystal light packages and flavour the water you drink if you think it tastes bland.

But if you are young, you need to eat. So balance your eating and drink tons of water to fill yourself up. Your body just might be preparing for it’s next growth spurt. And don’t even think twice if you gain a few pounds during a young age. That’s what happens! You get a little plump and then the result are amazing when you are tall and lean. (Make sure you exercise regularly) The sad thing is that so many girls in middle and highschools dont necessarily NOT eat, but instead deprive themselves of food and don’t get as tall and fit. I mean I was plump and small and ate SO MUCH. And for truth, I am now 5’10 and at a healthy weight of 130lbs. Taller than the average girl and actually might be signing with a modelling agency.

SO: We have waterlogging, (drink tons of water) we have the 5-6 meals a day, we have waiting, excercising, and simply going for a small snack. Eating is okay! Just as long as it’s healthy and at the right times. It’s also knowing when to stop. When YOU think that it’s too much, Substitute for something else (then we get into water and veggies/fruits)

Try eating on smaller plates, sounds too simple but works, try looking at nutritional labels and stick to what one serving is for the food you eat. Got the munchies, eat 1/3 cup nuts or seeds and 8 oz. of water it will fill you!
