Is there any healthy fast food? Are there ways to make it healthier?
This interests me...
There is no such thing as unhealthy food- everything is fine in moderation. If you chow down on Big Macs day after day, that's not so great for your body. if you have it once a week, that's fine. But here's two things that help me when I'm eating take-out:
One thing that might help you is something called portion control. I've found it very hard coming to the USA after living in New Zealand- portions over here are just HUGE! Usually I'll order a chinese dish here and manage to have plenty leftover for lunch the next day. A big thing is remembering to stop eating when you're starting to feel full- I've only just been able to do that in the past 6 months. It's very hard to do, especially if there's only a tiny bit left on your plate, or you feel guilty about children starving in third world countries.
Another thing that's good is eating a few orange wedges after a meal- the citric acid helps to break down some of the grease, plus it's one of your 5 servings of fruit and veg a day.
There's lots of little things to do that can help with fast food- there are lots of websites that you can google for ideas too. Just remember though, there's no need to count every calorie and obsess- be conscious, but still enjoy life :)
There are definitely ways to make healthier choices at all fast food restaurants, but there are some that tend to be healthier overall. Some examples of this are Subway, Qdoba Mexican Grill, and The Pita Pit because they offer some fairly healthy options.
The key, no matter where you go, is to order the healthy options. Even if you go to a "healthier" fast food place, there are still very unhealthy options on the menu.

I like a Chipotle Mexican Grill. Healthy food but the burritos are huge so if you are watching calories you might make two meals out of it.
My wife likes Baja Fresh, they do have some healthy selections but their food is a little bland for my tastes.
