FRECKLES!!!

Okay! They’re driving me crazy! I have them on my face, my arms, and now I’m getting them on my legs. I don’t know what to do. I tried bleaching my skin, but failed miserably. I even tried getting a tan to cover them up, I don’t tan. I want pale skin, with no icky spots covering it! Please, what can I do?

Answer #1

I get freckles too, I have them all over my face. but I stay out of the sun so theyre pretty light. I used to hate them but I have recently decided theyre a blessing because they cover up my occassional outbreaks of acne pretty well. and when I feel like being tan I go to the salon an get a spray tan for like 20 bucks.

I have freckles and am desperate to get rid of them! i have them on my face and arms and now hav got a few round my knees and do not want them 2 develop anymore! is there anything that is natural that i can use at home that might get rid of a few of them?

Answer #5

I am 18..and have freckles light freckles on my face, arms, and shoulders. i am also pale like you and don’t like to tan either! But, I LOVE my freckles. Their adorable..their part of you. <y grandma used to say they are angel kisses from god. Why would you want to get rid of angel kisses? My advice is to just simply accept who you are. Don’t make a problem into a problem unless it really is..right?! JUST BE YOU! and LOVE it! you’ll be much happier i promise!

Answer #6

You make it sound like having freckles is a bad thing! Why do you dislike them so much? I think they are cute. But that’s just my opinion.

Answer #7

lemon juice

Answer #8

Not really. Freckles are pigments on your skin, they can’t just be washed off or bleached, no matter what you use - lemon juice or orange juice or bleach detergent or whatever. It’s like black people wanting to be white and soaking in milk. Unless you’re Michael Jackson and do magic, you can’t lighten dark skin pigment. It only works backwards if you add onto it in the first place - if you’ve tanned in the summer, in the winter you “go pale” but only to the point at which you are your initial natural color, you can’t go below that.

Answer #9

There are options to get rid of freckles but like you’re already said they can be unhelpful. There is also peelings several dermatologists strongly recommend prescription-strength retinoids for the treatment of freckles, while other modern treatments for lightening freckles suggest also freezing them with liquid nitrogen, as well as the use of strong chemical acid peels, dermabrasion, or forceful ablative laser treatments. Chemical peels are two main different types, superficial, and deeper. Superficial peels, including glycolic peels, are able to remove freckles after many repeated treatments while deeper peels will get rid of freckles all at once, but at the cost of a more significant recovery time. Resurfacing may get rid of freckles and age spots, but usually are painful and may damage healthy skin, cause scarring and require lengthy recovery times. In other words its expensive dangerous and painful to try and “remove” freckles .I myself am a very freckly person i do not tan and have pale skin i burn easily as well.Though freckles do not really bother me though the totally cover my arms and hands and face and i have the few on my legs and feet. They aren’t so bad in the winter where the naturally fade a bit but in the summer they are very clear but i don’t feel the need to cover them up so i don’t see why you should to as freckles are often referred to as ‘Beauty Marks’ and it is true.Though you can prevent the occurrence of freckles by doing many things such as-

  • Wear a hat to keep the sun from directly hitting your face.

  • Use sunscreen or sunblock with UV factor 30+

  • If you can avoid peak sun hours, between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is most intense wherever you live.

  • Check out your medications since some things you apply to your skin or take internally may cause skin sensitivity such as antibiotics, birth control pills and some topical products that cause sun sensitivity including alpha hydroxy acids and benzoyl peroxide.

  • Ask your doctor to determine if what you use on your face or take internally would make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

  • Stay as far as you can from tanning beds because these devices expose your skin to lots of pigment-inducing UV radiation; one tanning bed session is equal to a whole day spent at the beach without sun protection.

  • Look for over-the-counter fading creams containing hydroquinone and follow the directions and precautions on the package carefully.
