Does exercising on an exercise bike burn fat all over (like on arms?) or just the leg area?
It will exercise all the muscles that move or hold while you use it.
Going off road on a real mountain bike will definitely exercise your arms, because you have to hold on to the handle bar and keep your direction though the mud road may be bumpy and slanting.
With a living-room training bike, it will depend on your position. If you sit upright and don't use your arms at all, then in will not be good for arms and shoulder muscle. If you bend to the front and lean onto your arm, then it will.
I think you can get a fairly good cardio workout from an exercise bike, almost as much as you can from a treadmill. It's also easier on the knees, for those with knee problems.
It will build muscle in the legs more than the rest of your body but it is a cardio workout and it will burn fat every on every part of the body if you do it long enough.
they can burn fat all over your legs, if you stand up while riding they will burn even more fat and also aroun your buttox and a bit on your lower torso/hips
exercise bikes should burn calories, which will burn fat all over your body :) It is one of the best workouts that will also tone your legs =P
I would think it would target your legs more than anything else.
