Dying blonde hair brown, and back again?

I am contemplating dyeing my hair dark brown, but I know I’ll only want it for a few months. I just really want to see what I’d look like with brown hair, I’ve been blonde my whole life. I am worried about getting my blonde back though when I’m ready for it. What does the process entail? My hair is really dry and thin as it is, will bleaching it destroy it?

Also, how do temporary dyes work? Will a dark brown temp dye fade all the way back into my blonde, or will I be left with a weird color? Thanks for any help, I’m new to this site so I hope the questions posts as it should.

I dyed my hair blonde, then back to brown, my natural hair color is brown, and the brown did fade it looks sort of coppery now. it really doesnt look great. so I say stay blonde, and bleach does ruin your hair, it will make it all dry and stuff or it did mine anyways

Bleaching will make it orange, then you can use toners like an ash blonde to make it a nicer blonde. Might take a few goes to get the shade you want though

I was naturally blonde and dyed it brown in January. I recently went back to blonde because I missed it and now I really wished I hadn’t. It cost £100 and just looks fake and yellow even after bleaching and toning and it doesn’t look like I’m going to get a decent blonde anytime soon without damaging it further. I wish I’d stayed brown now or never even dyed it to begin with.

Personally I think the blond really suits you, but its your choice. Bleaching it wont destroy it, only if you do it a lot of times and don’t provide the proper nutrients for your hair. Dyeing dark brown to blond just consists of a bleaching process which should be done by a professional unless you know a lot about the product you are personally using. About the temporary colour… if you did a dark brown it would probley fade into a blond shade but not necessarily the shade it was before the coloring. There is honestly no way of 100% knowing for sure what shade it will fade into, its just one of those risks.

uhm.. natural hair is always the best in my opinion.. but you can get a color rinse which last thru a certain amount of shampoos.. jus to see what it will look like.. it doesnt damage your hair.. dont bleach your already thin hair! trust me.. I had beautiful thick hair until I did that bullshit.. Uhmm.. than if you want to get rid of the brown fast use a cheap clarifying shampoo and wash your hair a lot… than you can use john frieda beach blonde products to bring your blonde back to its full potential

if you do get the rinse.. do it yourself.. dont leave it in for that long cause than it will last longer

I’m a natural blonde, and have dyed my hair a really dark chocolate brown a few months ago, and I really want to change it back to blonde as soon as possible. my hair is already starting to show blonde highlights from where the dye is fading. and I also want to do this at home with a chemist hairdye or bleach? will this make my hair orange ? I’ve also heard that my hair will go green ! HELP ! I’m sick of this haircolour!
