Drinking or smoking is illegal for ..?

If your under 18, and you smoke and a cop sees you, what can he do? And if a cop sees you drinking alchohal, what can he do?

in england its 16 to smoke cigarettes and 18 to buy them. it is illegal for the shops to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18 it is legal to buy them yourself from whatever age. but you can still smoke them from 16+ which makes no sense because it is also illegal to buy them for someone who is under 18 as well, so yeah the law in england for tobacco is a bit mixed up

in england its 16 to buy cigerettes and wont get arrested but 18 to buy them if he sees you smoking he can take your cigerettes off you be asked info if your under age under 16 to drink you must be 18 and 18 to buy in america they would just arrest you and ask info if your under 21 hope I helped :)
