Train it like you would any dog…

Socialization is strongly recommended for a BRT, as they are very protective…so I would recommend a formal obedience class (you will learn just as much as the dog), since these guys grow into very big, very strong dogs (up to 150 lbs), you’ll want to have complete control by the time he is an adult…one big plus…they bond VERY close with their people, so they need to live inside…Everything I’ve ever read is that they are one of the easiest of all breeds to housetrain…

These dogs need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation…training always goes better with a dog who has some of the energy burned off.

I’m jealous! :) I think they are so beautiful…and their need to be close to their people makes for a dog who’s not interested in wandering off… You’re SO lucky!
