How can I make my dog treated like a human?

A dog is a dog. Please don’t dress your dog up. If you let your dog eat when you eat he will soon rise above you and end up getting impatient and snappy.

Hmm, treat it like a human? I don’t really see the point in it though, they aren’t humans so they really shouldn’t be treated like one. It bugs me that some people give all their attention to their precious little doggies instead of their on family, or baby. Why would you want to spend all your money on outfits, manicures/pedicures, furniture, etc..on something that won’t even be able to appreciate it?

You dont. My mother tries to do that, and now the dog will bite anyone who tries to groom him, bathe him, or pick him up. Which makes for a pretty miserable dog because he gets knots in his hair and he has in grown nails, and it is practically impossible to deal with him. You treat a dog like a dog and everyone is happy.

Why do that? Treat him like a dog who has your respect, and he will give you respect. It’s hard to not give them some human qualities…afterall we live with them…but to literally “humanize” a dog leaves a dog feeling very unfulfilled…
