You can feel the puppy’s “parts” when they’re around 5 weeks old—not 6 months! They are born with them, and they descend (come down) earlier than 5 weeks, but they are easiest to feel at that age (that’s when I start checking my puppies). They should have both of their “parts” by the time they are 8 weeks.

A dogs testicals usually decend at about 6 months of age, if they or one does not, they call this cryptoicd and the dog will need surgery, this can be fatal in male dogs if the testicals don’t decend.
