Do any of you know about TV going digital in 2009? I’ve been hearing that those TV’s that have Rabbit ears or Enntennas that those who have those will need a convertor box. This includes local channels. If you know about this transition, what are your thoughts on this? I’m not sure what to think of the transition but, I’m sure it’ll work out.

Answer #1

I’m actually surprised people still use rabbit ears.

At any rate, this isn’t going to affect our area…it looks like we’ll be analog until the end of time, and I would like to have digital.

Answer #2

It IS going to digital broadcast in Feb. Anyone with cable or satellite doesn’t have to do anything. Your cable/satellite company will do it automatically. If you use your own antenna, you will have to get a converter box from the store (Wal-Mart, etc) for $10-25 AFTER using the coupon that you can get from the government.

Answer #3

I think it is bull sh*t personally what about all of the old men who sit in their sheds sipping beer watching some news brodcast that is mostly snow
