what is dance class like in a high school as a elective, if u have it, i got it and im nervous and i wanna get out of it already?

Is it just Dance? Because when I signed up for Dance it was Broadway dance and all we did was learn stuff like from Grease, Fame, and Dirty Dancing. It really wasn’t that bad, it was a very easy class in my opinion.

I took dance class my Sophomore year in HS. It was intimidating at first, bc the girls in the class had already taken dance. I kept trying and fell flat a few times….BUT I kept trying and go the respect from my peers bc they saw how serious I was to learn. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know if you might be really good at it. It’s like that with everything! Never doubt yourself, always go in with confidence and say, ‘I CAN DO THIS!” Don’t worry about what others think of you, as long as you are trying (not acting goofy to try to make people laugh bc your are really nervous) people WILL respect you. Talk to other girls in your class that are really good and ask how long they have been practicing. I guarantee you if you put in the effort and love doing it you can be “MADE”! Good Luck!

yay thankyou for the pep talkk :) im actually going to 10th ive taken ballet wen i 6-8 but that was long ago….

My first dance class in high school was a simple course, “beginning dance.” I actually learned a variety of dances there such as: ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, and others. I was pretty nervous too, when I took that class because I didn’t have experience. However, it turned out to be an enjoyable and easy course, at least for me, and it was much more fun than regular P.E.. And if you really don’t enjoy dance, within a few days, you can tell your counselor to switch out of that class. (:
