do what michel said, only an hour before, let the steak sit out for an hour, add salt, and lay paper towels on them. It makes them taste better.
You can also tenderize it with a meat tenderizer, cut it into strips and make stir fry in a pan with veggies. This works best with thin steak.
I think it depends on how done u want ur steak as to how long u cook it on both side, because cuts of meat r cut in differant thicknesses
Hot cast iron pan, bacon fat, 3 minutes on each side, let rest for 5 minutes in the pan...
