You could always tell her the precautions you will take in getting to New York and while in New York. Have a plan completely laid out so she knows exactly what you will be doing and how to contact you. Also it helps if you butter up your parent by being really good and doing chores you normally wouldnt then asking. You can also use chores and promising good school grades in order for you to go to New York
you're 15 years old? why are you wanting to go? how are you getting there? how will you afford to buy things? how far is it from your home?
sooooo many questions.. i'm a mum and i would want to know why first.. x
as a mum i would be very cautious about letting my daughter go somewhere like that regardless of 'buttering up'..
any mum wouldn't be persuaded by 'chores' and 'good deeds' ... this is a safety issue.
My mom does, and has let me travel alone to places without any adult supervision. The "buttering up" is more of a way to show responsibility and is also a nice gesture.
We will need more information, tell her the benefits and why you want to go, tell her it means alot to you a you'd really appreciate it.
Show her you can manage money for one. Then, maybe take karate or some kinda ass kicking class that will teach you self defense. :pp
im sure that my opinions wont change much from now. If i knew my children were responsible i would let them
You're 15? Are trusted parents going along? If not, forget it. Your mother isn't going to budge.
