How do college students apply for a scholarship?

do professors give out scholar ships?

Answer #1

I think ur high school principal does that, or the college contacts the high school, I can’t remember which, sorry

Answer #2

No it’s usually not the professors who give out the scholarships, it’s the school. For me, I had to apply for scholarships online at my school website and the Ontario student loans website. I’m not entirely sure how it works where you are, but I’d definitely go talk to a professor, administrator, or ask someone at the help-desk for the information.

Answer #3

highschool college counselors will be really helpful. i used the internet to help find scholarships can’t remember the site name i think it was collegeboard.com not sure i just googled alot.

Answer #4

It depends on the scholarship. My scholarship is from my department so yes it was a professor (the head of department) who gave it to me. Other scholarships are given by the university and you can usually apply for them through the scholarship office. Or you can get scholarships from outside sources and you can contact them to find out how to apply

Answer #5

It depends on the scholarship. Some come directly from the University or a specific department of the University. Others come from government grants or scholarship funds people have setup to help others with their education.

Most schools have a financial aid office. Check with them to see what they have for scholarships.
