This is one of my random questions:P Can you believe in ghosts (Like the ones in Ghost Hunter) and still be a devoted christan? Some people tell me "Yes" and others tell me "No" Sooo, what do you think?
I totaly agree with Marinaink. I would also like to expound from the Bible. Psalm 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence. Ecclesiastes 9:4-6 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. As well their love, as their hatred and their envy, is perished long ago; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun.
Ghosts are not our loved ones or people that has passed away.
So what then are these things that parade as Ghosts?
They are satan's angels parading themselves in human from. they may take the forms of our loved ones or pretend to be good in order to get our trust. it is a cruel device of the devil. if you read in 1 samuel 28. you will see saul going to a psychic to summon samuel from the dead. "samuel did appear". but it was a falacy of teh devil.
God also warns us to stay away from psychics
Leviticus 19:31 (New International Reader's Version)
31 " 'Do not look for advice from people who get messages from those who have died. Do not go to people who talk to the spirits of the dead. If you do, they will make you "unclean." I am the Lord your God.
so for Samuel to appear at the command of a psychic was a hoax from satan.
Whenever you want to know the truth, you should look to God's Word. In the Bible, specifically Luke 24:36-39, Jesus comes to speak to the disciples after his crucifixion...he tells them, "Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see, a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."
Since Jesus speaks of ghosts, surely then, he is a truthful witness to the facts that ghosts are real. You can know they are real, but at the same time, know they have no power over you since the Holy Ghost rules and reigns in you through Christ Jesus.

although Christiany teaches that you either go to heaven or hell. it also lets you know when this will happen. the Bible teaches that(1 Thessalonians 4:16) "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"
so when Christ comes he will awaken the dead and take them to heaven at this time. if they were already awaken (as ghosts and had already gone to heaven). there would be no need for CHrist to return and awaken them
yes you can it dosent matter if your budist cathlic or critsen you are who you are and you have your own belifes I mean yes you may go by some of the religuous rules but you dont have to belive all of them I my self am to religons cathlic/wiccan I belive in what both teacch me but I have my own opnion on the matters hope I helped
I think you can because christianity says that when you die you go to heaven or hell. Maybe the souls just didn't make it.
