Border terrier vs jack russel??

Different terriers have different attributes…Like ifeelcrazy says, Westies are probably the most kicked back of terriers…Jack Russells probably the most “intense” terriers…I truly do not recommend a Jack Russell for an inexperienced owner…they take a VERY strong leader…

JRT’s are scrappy, and vivacious…they MUST have a lot of exercise every day…they don’t get along with other animals very well…

Border Terriers are far more malable, and way easier to train (score high in obedience)…they are friendly and happy little dogs.

I can tell ya, I’m very dog experienced, and have trained and worked with most of the dominant breeds. I’d have a Border Terrier or a Westie long before I’d inflict a JRT on myself… :)

Depends on how they are raised I have two jack russells and on e will lick you to death while the other runs from everyone, we got her when she was 3 months old and believe she was beaten… Jacks are very hiper if you want a dog that will do laps around the house like a racecar a jack is deff the dog for you lol

what about a yorkshire terrier. they’re really good dogs. I have one of my own. But I would pick border terrier I guess.

It all depends on how you raise the dog. I like West Highland White terrier’s they are affectionate and have excellent peronalities.

I agree with everyone it all depends on how you bring the dog up. I have 2 westies a 2yrs old buddy and a 9 week old girl called macy and I read up on them and all terriors are snappy and bark a lot but it all depends on how you bring them up. I had mine both from puppies and they are the most loving lamp dogs ever who love cuddles and playing in mud!!! my friends have a jack russel and it is a bighter and a barkerbut they dont train it very well. get a westie…
