To lose weight and to maintain a healthy weight after weight loss, many people need to do more than 30 minutes of moderate to intensive physical activity daily. Walking is an excellent form of physical activity that almost everyone can do.
Successful weight loss and healthy weight management depend on sensible goals and expectations. If you set sensible goals for yourself, chances are you'll be more likely to meet them and have a better chance of keeping the weight off. A lifestyle based on healthy eating and regular physical activity is the best way to lose weight permanently.

I am currently trying to lose 100 lbs so far I have lost 8lbs on my first month, no starving required. When it comes to losing weight it's extremely difficult, but it can be done.
You need to start with determination, discipline and really want it.

the best way to loose weight is to exercise and to watch what you eat. you should only eat three times a day (food with few carbs and grams of fat) DO NOT starve yourself. I did that and...I did loose weight...but I also lost more than just that. I went from 115 pounds to 92 pounds by starving myself. I lost my butt, my breasts, and my hair was so unhealthy it started falling off. I looked and felt really unhealthy. currently, I weigh 108 pounds. :D I gained weight but I feel healthier than ever. I get a lot of compliments on my body. all I did was exercise and watch what I ate. =]
