As to your question… you have to spend money to make money… our technology needs updating… our educational system needs updating… our workers need to be re-educated for different jobs…

I guess I must be among the poorer working people on this site…since when is $800 to $1200 a laughable amount of money?? And maybe it IS a laughable amount when it gets spent with a credit card…however SAVING $1200 takes sacrifice at $40,000 a year…and $400 a year, when your annual salary is a measly $20,000 a year could mean skipping a couple meals, and wearing a coat inside all winter…

Maybe I’m old fashioned by having kept myself out of debt, by saving, using credit cards for emergencies only, driving used cars…and working my a** for more years than I’d like to remember…Of course that thousand bucks is only a tiny part of ALL the new collection plates about to enter arena. Frankly, I’d like to avoid dying of old age on the job…
