can the baby survive if its mum is 13 years of age?

Answer #1

Wooow 13 years ?! o_o You should be sure if the mommy survives first :O

Answer #2

well would the mum survive if she was 13 yrs?

Answer #3

It depends on the situation. If she gets proper pre-natal care and emotional support then her and her baby’s chances are a lot better to survive.

But that being said, it will still be a high risk pregnancy because she is not fully developed yet.

Answer #4

yes but the baby will be more likely to be underweight and thus, more prone to a lot of health problems throughout life

Answer #5

it depends, you either will or you wont. you almost certainly will but sometimes things go wrong, and motheres do die. we cant tell you if you’ll die or not though. its something no one can predict. 13 isnt the best age to start having a baby and lots of things can go wrong, so make sure you see a doctor throughout the entire pregnancy

Answer #6

There Are Chances That Maybe The Mom Wouldn’t But From An Experience With Friends, It Is Possible To Survive And Still Have A Beautiful Baby.

Answer #7

I disagree..I was only 2 pounds when I was born my mom was 27 when she had me and I have no health problems. I’m now 20 years old. I’m sure if you eat right and do all the right things your baby will be fine.

Answer #8

Are you saying you dont agree its more likely for a child born to a teenage mother to have a low birth weight? You would be wrong, extensive research shows it is a fact. Its possible to have a low birth weight if your mother is not a teenager, and it is also possible to have no health complications from low birth weight, but it is a well established fact that there is more chance of a baby with a low birth weight when the mother is in her teens AND that low birth weight often results in severe health complications

Answer #9

Yeah, a 13 year old can still have a healthy baby.

Answer #10

yes, but the baby may not be as healthy as babies who are carried by a fully matured woman. also, its harder to carry the baby to term. plus the mom has a bigger chance of something bad happening, but its the same with old people too hahaha
