Anxious new puppy.

I have an 18 month male parson russell, and have just got a female parson russell, whom we was told is a year old. On looking at her we are convinced she is a lot younger. Since getting her, she keeps shaking, hides most of the time, wont drink or eat, goes for my other dog, and wont go a toilet outside. Apparently she used to live with her mother, and followed her mum everywhere, when her mum ate, drank, slept etc, the pup also did the same. So the vet advised that she be rehomed because she wasnt being a proper dog. If you could give me any advice on how to help our girl and encourage her not to be so scared, we would be grateful..

Let her see that the other dog is eatin an drinkin ect. So it will show her that’s its ok. My dog used to not eat when we would take her to my aunts house because she has lil dogs an she was scared they wouldn’t like her eatin there food. Just show her that the other dog is doing it an that its ok. She’ll adjust

She just needs time to adjust to her new home. She’s scared and lonely, probably wondering where her Mommy went. ): Just make sure she knows where her food, water, and bed are. Give her a couple of days and she should start to adjust. Don’t try to push her, just let her do it at her speed. And try to keep your other dog away, he’s probably making her more nervous and that’s why she strikes out at him. If she hasn’t gotten any better over about a week or two then see a vet. But, if she doesn’t start eating and drinking soon, she should be seen anyways. Those little guys can get dehydrated quickly. Good luck!!
