For most women, most birth control pills, and most antibiotics, there shouldn’t be a problem. The pill should continue to work well during the week or two you’re taking the medicine. I was on birth control and had to go on Antibiotics. I kept taking the birth control pill even tho my doctor said it wouldn’t work while I’m taking my antibiotics. Antibiotics will not let the birth control pill work. You are at high risk of getting pregnant if you have sex during the time your taking antibiotics and birth control because the birth control will not work.

Many docs say it is a myth, but I got preggo while taking antibiotics and birth control at the same time, so it just depends on the woman.
