im 16 and drink every weekend is that bad?

When most people think of alcoholics they think of someone who drinks everyday...this isn't so. An alcoholic can also only drink on weekends, they are called "weekend alcoholics". Yes you are in great danger; at your age you are causing irreversible damage to the brain and body.
Challenge yourself to not drink on weekends and if you find you can't then you know you need to seek out counseling and more then likely an AA group. So even though as stated above you can balance your other areas of your life this doesn't mean you still aren't damaging your body and it doesn't mean you're not an alcoholic.

to Kerov you drink the same amount as me except I have only been drinking since I was 19 im 20 now going to be 21 in june 2010. I was just wondering if drinking that long has made you look older than what you are suppost to look? my boyfriend says I look like im 25 my skin use to be clear and my eyes pure white now they are only sordoff white. and ofcourse I get no sleep on the weekends hopefully that has more to do with it then the mikes hard lemonades and joose.
listen dont worry about what some of these ppl say, if u handle ur responsibilities on time and do ur school work properly, and dont let the liquid control ur life, ull be fine, ive been drinking since i was 13, every friday id shake down my take of my parents vodka n pour my own into a mug without them knowning n i could guzzle it, stupid moves lol, but i grew up and im fine, i dont look horrible either my face is perfectly fine.
I drink 2-3 times every weekend for about 5 years and im 19. I didn't experience any health problems and I am also a great student, have a happy relationship, and going to gym regularly and I am happy with my shape. It would probably generate problems as I get older but I really don't care as it's a great fun :)
Really if you feel like drinking go for it, just try to not be wasted every weekend :)
I'm 26, I drink about 7 or 14 glass every week end, some time I make a break to ensure I'm not becoming addict, based on my experience I can tell you that alcohol, and if you know how to deal with it, it will allow you to succeed your student and professional life, but after 2 or 3 years it will start to harm your social life. Now that you have the + and the - it’s up to you to decide.
if you drink this often at such a young age imagine the consequences of this when you get older...my advice to you will b to slow down your alcohol comsumption because it is addictive and your life can have a down spiral...literally
hm, yeah. im 16 and used to do that for a few months. I mean, its only bad if your life changes for the worse by that, like grades and family problems. if you can balence stuff, id say go for it. just be careful.
im starting drinkin pretty much every weekend and im 15, nearly 16. I got exams in 3 or 4 months. could that be enough time to potentially cause damage??
I wouldn't say it a positive attribute - hope you don't hurt yourself or someone else or turn into a lifetime habit...Take care !!
