Acid does not get stored in the body flashbacks occure to everyone even those who do not do acid. But because acid is probably one of your most intence experience your flashbacks will most likely concern your trips. Don’t be fooled though, she won’t see any green monsters. Maybe a shift in depth perception for 5 seconds. Or raining balls of light. Always very short and harmless and extremely rare. I wish they were more comon, nothing wrong with a free trip. And you think acid is bad? Less deadly than all legal drugs on existence including aspirin. you know what is sad? People addicted to nicotine caffeine and alcohol looking down on people who expand their minds with no toxins or addiction, or even risks.

LSD is a highly unstable compound, and as such is difficult to even store in a dry refrigerator, let alone the human body. Ask any dealer and they’ll tell you all the trouble they have to go through to keep it from breaking down.

That being said, the flashback experience is most likely due to the drugs ability to bring to light latent psychiatric disorders (which it was used medically to help treat). If your friend has no family history of psychiatric disorders, there is most likely nothing to worry about.

Answer #3

doing it one time can give you flashbacks and there is nothing to cure it.. she’ll be worrying for the rest of her life even if she’s a recovered addict or even if she’s not an addict.

my brother took acid once, and 2 months later he came home one day having a flashback, that lasted 3 or 4 hours.

Answer #6

Answer #7

The paranoia of flashbacks is probably a result.

Answer #8

Well, as someone who has lots of flashbacks, let me say that they are merely annoying at times. The green monster comment somewhere above is appropriate, the likelihood of even seeing a green monster while at the peek of an acid trip is minimal; the likelihood of seeing one as a result of a flashback is slim to none. Also, whoever said that storing acid in the human body is an absurd notion is correct. The flashbacks are not caused by “re-release” of the substance, but, more likely are the result of psychological disturbance. This does not mean that suffering flashbacks is a sign of a psychological illness come to light as the result of a trip. Though such things do happen, LSD’s potential for causing flashbacks is unrelated or, at least; the possible correlation of mental illness to flashbacks has not been shown to represent causation.

On the moral and personal implications of LSD use: It is important to note that when we discuss the risks of an acid trip, we often have the prospective that they are resulting from an unnatural experience. I would say that any sort of trauma (natural or otherwise) may result in the same risks, even flashbacks. For instance, there may be an interesting relationship between the phenomena of PTSD and acid flashbacks. I cannot say for certain. The point is, that those who use acid are responsible for knowing that there may be psychological consequences, but unlike people with PTSD, acid users have a choice whether to engage in such activities as those that may produce such a syndrome. In this way, persons or people considered moral agents, have the right to use this substance (not lawfully of course) just as dissenters have a right to avoid it. Moral agents take risk all the time, the question is whether the individual is willing to accept such risks. Furthermore, risks though they represent the possible negative consequences of an action are not the only means by which the action should be judged. If there is some purposive end to one’s taking LSD, and such an end is a positive consequence, the individual must assess whether he is willing to achieve that end in spite of risk. For this reason, I propose that actions be judged in their entirety and not merely by the fact of their risks. For God’s sake, how else are we supposed to cross the street, drive cars, or even attempt being in a relationship with another human being?

An acid flashback is technically a altered state of mind that you can get at any time that reminds you of the same state of mind you held while tripping. Also can be visual, but it won’t last and you might not even be able to recognize a visual flashback. To ukufa, acid has risks that are very serious including going insane, insomnia, trauma from a bad trip for the rest of your life and an inability to perceive reality for what it truly is, along with anxiety, panic, depressive disorders and an overwhelming sense of feeling these things that you never felt until taking this beyond mind altering drug.
