Prostitution why aren't you allowed to do it?

I'm All His Asked by iluvhim 2 months ago, 16 answers.

I'm not saying I'm a prostitute or anything, but why aren't you allowed to do it? Cause obviously cops will arrest you for it. But I don't see why when it's your body.

AGREEING WITH JIMAHL: ***plus*** if prostitute infects clients, then they go on to infect the loved ones in their lives. and so on...it just keeps going. and if they dont know their infected, they will continue to spread the diseases

Because it is a risky thing to do... there is a good chance you could end up harmed.

It doesn't make a lot of sense. The short answer is that many of our laws are hold-overs from when religion held a much more powerful influence on the maintenance of Western civilization. But keep in mind that it isn't illegal in every US state or in every country. Times are changing, and I expect that the laws will change with them. But if something has been in the culture for thousands of years, change will come slowly, no matter how silly that something is from an objective standpoint.

That is more of a reason it should be legal. Then protections for providers and customers could be put in place.

because prostitution cant be monitored, there is one place that is legal outside las vegas. the issue to be truthful is taxing, the government wouldn''t be able to regulate it, like pot. the women that work at that place by vegas have drug and disease tests every week to two weeks and their taxed so therefor there business is legal.

mandycats, you are contridicting yourself. As you state. where it is legal, there are controls and protections, so it can be monitored if it is illegal. It is when it is controlled by the black market that it becomes much more dangerous, and can't be monitored.

Well for one its not sanitary! It may be their bodies, but I dont know about you, but when I come out in the middle of the day and have to see a prostitute walking up and down the street harrassing men with their kids, it kinda just annoys me. I understand people need to make money, but there are other ways then selling your body. It should be illegal and in my personal opinion the police should be doing something more about it to stop it. It is just nasty and dirty!

I see no reason for it to be illegal. For me the benefits of it being legal FAR OUTWEIGHS any negative issues arising from it.

If it's legal it can be monitored and these prostitutes can be protected together with their clients.

just my opinion...

Personally I think anything between consenting adults should be legal. Recreational drugs, prostitution, polygamy, gambling, etc.

Never once did any one ever mention the children. Is every thing about you, you, YOU?

You know, sex makes babies. Prostitutes abort their children. Hundreds of thousands of them each year. What about the rights of those kids? Ironically, that isn't the reason the Gov. bans prostitution. They ban any thing they can't control.

Prostitution is an ugly, selfish business by itself. When it's compounded by wholesale abortion, the slaughter of Innocent Children, it becomes just plain evil.
