Omg god my mom asked me yesterday if I was sexually active but I lied she said I can be open with her but I don't know I feel like if I telll her she will be hurt and she wants to put me on the pill but I hear that the pill gets you fat and crap like...

to certain people so I don't know what should I tell her or do I let her find out on her own

Don't tell her you've had sex. Just tell her you've been thinking about it. Going on the pill would be a good idea if you don't want a baby. You should tell her that you've been thinking about it and you want to go on the pill so you can be prepared for when you do start having sex. You shouldn't tell her you're already having sex because it will hurt her. Plus, you should do this because it'll give you the opportunity to be safer while having sex. You can never be too prepared. :]

I myself think you should be open to her, she didnt ask you for no reason and she certainly accepts that you may have intercourse, thats why she wants you on the pill
so better to get it of your chest or she will continue to ask you about it
I dont think you will hurt her by telling the truth...

generally the pill will not make you fat, you might gain a TINY bit of weight because of the hormones but you wont become FAT...

Ask yourself this question. Would I like to hear that my daughter is having sex from someone else or from her? Parents aren't the fools we may sometimes think they are. Give her a chance she may very well surprise you. Besides why all of a sudden did she ask anyways? Maybe she knows already and just wants you to come to her. Most importantly, and I can't stress this enough, you have only ONE mother and she wants to help you. Some girls your age only wish they had a mother that cared and loved them enough to talk TO and not AT them about this issue. Be smart, be honest and be clear.
